Get To Work On Electric Circuits Freely And Easily.
TinyCAD is a free and open source, minimalistic CAD program that's primarily used for drawing electric circuit schematics. It supports embedding graphical images in its CAD drawings, as well as a number of popular and important PCB formats and netlists.
Easier than it looks
Compared to other CAD programs, TinyCAD has an interface that's about as busy but a number of tools that work more intuitively for beginning and intermediate CAD program users. It allows users to make their own libraries of symbols, which comes highly recommended, especially because the default symbols don't look amazing. It's the program's greatest feature, even though libraries don't update dynamically (when symbols are changed). TinyCAD is largely feature-complete, though it's missing a few advanced netlist features, among others.
A tiny choice
Both pre-existing CAD users and those looking for a way to start designing electric circuits may find TinyCAD useful. Although the help files aren't perfectly written or updated, and won't help with some of the program's more advanced and complex functions, the program itself is easy enough to start with that relative newbies will appreciate it.

So far so good, except....
So far so good. My first drawing had a lot of rectangles with text labels. There were no alignment issues like I have with Visio. One problem though. There is a little red square in the lower left hand corner of every text box. I thought it wouldn't print, but it shows up in my pdf output. How do I get rid of these squares?
Pros:
Ease of alignment
Cons:
Need to know how to get rid of the little red squares that come with the text boxes More

Library access problem.
Have some difficulty with libraries, I am unable to access them since they claim to be in use by another user. I have deleted the program and will reinstall More

Not bad at all.
I've been using TinyCAD for a few years to draw homework and test problems for my Physics courses. It's not hard to learn and makes pretty good copy. It doesn't have the features of other electronic CAD programs and it also doesn't have the learning curve. This is a good app if you want to turn your circuit sketches to neat diagrams; if you want your software to plot your PC board layout you need something more sophisticated. More

Using Tiny Cad as a Retiree.
A brilliant piece of free software for circuit diagrams. Discovered it after trying many other free CAD packages, but had to give them all up as they were too obscure. This one has proved itself perfect for digitising my old boat electrics. I don't need anything more as a retiree.
Pros:
Substantial libraries of symbols; intuitive operation if already experienced with other CAD systems.
Cons:
Erm... not used it long enough to establish any shortcomings. More
